Welsh Labour MEP, Derek Vaughan, visited Coleg Morgannwg’s Rhondda Campus recently (Friday, 16 April 2010) to gain an update of what is happening at the college and how it is contributing to community life in the area.
Mr Vaughan was impressed with both the facilities and the achievements of staff and students and discussed the future plans of the College and how it has benefitted from European funding to improve training and employment levels in the area.
Following the visit, DEREK VAUGHAN MEP, said:
"The facilities and courses at Coleg Morgannwg are first class and opportunities are available for local people to improve their skills and qualifications to meet the challenges of the future.
It continues to play an important role in terms of delivering education and personal development courses in Rhondda Cynon Taf and in improving the lives of many people in the locality.
By working with a wide range of partners, including the European Union and Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, Coleg Morgannwg is making a real difference both economically and socially for those students who choose to study there."
