EU Information Session Announced in Aberavon

Welsh MEP Derek Vaughan is holding an information session in Aberavon on 03/06/2016 to help people understand the EU and what EU membership means for Wales, so they can make an informed decision in the EU referendum.

Mr Vaughan said the information sessions are a chance for locals from Aberavon to ask questions and raise the issues that matter to them:

“With Europe at the top of everyone’s agenda at the moment it’s become clear to me that there are specific issues that people want to raise and understand better.

"I'd encourage people to come along on Friday with any questions about the EU and what EU membership means for Wales.

"The European Union has done a lot around here. Just in the local council area 750 enterprises have been helped by European Union funding, 485 have been created,  7,300 people have been helped into work and  3,760 people have gone into further learning. This was all thanks to EU funding.

"However many people aren't aware of these benefits and the key thing that people are saying at the moment is that they want access to clear information about the EU so they can make an informed decision on June 23rd."
