Euro cash to regenerate Pembroke and Pembroke Dock | |

£3.2 million is to be invested in the regeneration of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock after plans received the backing of the European Regional Development Fund and the Welsh Assembly Government.
The funding will be used to redevelop the Pater Hall in Pembroke Dock and provide new facilities at Garrison Chapel. Improvements will be made at other key historic buildings in the area and a new route will be brought into use for pedestrians and cyclists between Monkton and Pembroke Town Centre.
Welcoming the proposals, Welsh Labour MEP, DEREK VAUGHAN, commented:
“In the current economic downturn, it is more important than ever to continue to invest in the regeneration of communities in West Wales such as Pembroke and Pembroke Dock.”
“The projects will help to attract new visitors and business opportunities into the area as well as protecting the great heritage already there.”
